Saint-Pierre-le-Jeune Protestant Church: Strasbourg's Medieval Gem

A Witness to Alsatian History

Built from 1031 on the site of a Merovingian chapel, Saint-Pierre-le-Jeune Protestant Church is an architectural treasure in the heart of Strasbourg. This Gothic church was consecrated in 1053 by the Alsatian Pope Leo IX, testifying to the historical importance of this sacred place.

Exceptional Architectural Heritage

A former collegiate church, Saint-Pierre-le-Jeune carefully preserves the base of its bell tower porch and some walls from the original Romanesque building. This harmonious blend of architectural styles makes this church unique in Alsace.
