Maison Pfister: A Renaissance Masterpiece

Listed as a Historic Monument, it bears witness to the golden age of Rhenish commerce.
Maison des Têtes: A 17th-Century Masterwork
Built in 1609, Maison des Têtes owes its name to the 106 heads and grotesque masks adorning its façade. This masterpiece of late Renaissance architecture today houses a 5-star hotel and gourmet restaurant. Its gable crowned by Bartholdi's Cooper statue has become a symbol of Colmar.
Petite Venise: Romance on the Water
The Petite Venise quarter enchants with its pastel-coloured half-timbered houses reflected in the calm waters of the River Lauch. Once the district of market gardeners, winemakers, and tanners, it now offers one of the most romantic strolls in Europe. Traditional boats gliding along the canal add a touch of timeless poetry.
The Issenheim Altarpiece: A Universal Artistic Treasure
Housed in the Musée Unterlinden, the Issenheim Altarpiece painted by Matthias Grünewald around 1512–1516 is considered one of the absolute masterpieces of Western painting.
